The concept and hands for the above photos were provided by Graeme Minchin who was one of the organizers of a photoshoot at my place – Photo Night 2.  The blue lens flare was a problem but doesn’t detract too much. It is a problem with sparks which are high intensity on a jet black background. I had to light the hands without allowing any light onto the trees in the background.

The Michelangelo sparks are from my large Tesla coil and are only about 1 foot long. The wind has blown the ionised path along and successive sparks will fire down it causing the parallel sparks or “Banjo” effect.
