A large phosphorescent sheet with a “smiley” has been made from some black duct tape, exposed to the sun for 5 minutes and brought inside. The tape was removed leaving a “shadow” seen here. The candle is the “standard” light source.

The pixelstick is a rod of 200 LEDs that can be programmed to show a simple pattern of colours. If a long exposure photograph is taken (in the dark) AND the light source is moved during this time then a trail of light will be seen.
