Before Magnetising

The residual magnetic field was a maximum of 0.3 milliTesla. Only a few times greater than the earth’s magnetic field.Meteorite is attracted strongly to a magnetBeing iron, they are strongly attracted to a magnet.Meteorite with minimal magnetisationAfter stroking to magnetise it the residual magnetic field was only 0.7 milliTesla.  This is only a minute field and less than a compass needle.  Earth’s field is around 0.5 mT.
